Saving Destiny Youth Foundation

During 2021, Destiny Love Ayala, while at a high school graduation party, was one of the many promising Kern County young people to die from Fentanyl overdose.   Eighteen-year-old Destiny Love Ayala was a prolific volleyball player and a dedicated youth volleyball coach.  This tragic loss became the inspiration for the "Saving Destiny"  youth foundation.

Saving Destiny youth foundation was founded in 2023, as a 501c3 non-profit organization, in honor of Mary Louise Clemons, Mary Sue Brock, Bernice Moore and Lorean Moore, daughters of Cassell and Christine Moore, by their own daughters and granddaughters. Focused on overall wellbeing, Saving Destiny responds to the unmet needs of local youth and their families that may be excluded from beneficial  opportunities based on economic and/or geographical limitations.  

Mission Statement

The mission of the "Saving Destiny" foundation is to provide community youth with opportunities, experiences and tangible tools that will compel positive self-awareness, promote a strong sense of self, and to teach goal-setting and decision-making skills, that will become the foundation to guide them away from high-risk behavior and prepare them for future success.  Our 2023 goals also include providing scholarships for deserving Kern County high school graduates.
